A year has come and gone since the Sunflower Student Movement changed the political landscape of Taiwan when thousands of students took to the streets and shut down the legislature to stand up for the country while the government was selling out all of its people.
The student protests changed the country and was a major factor in the ruling Nationalist Party suffering massive losses in the most recent local elections which are considered a precursor to the presidential elections in 2016.
